ROPE/SUPERHEX MESH MIDWATER TRAWL
Based on Polish designs, a 6-bridle hexagonal mesh trawl was developed by Cantrawl to suit the small to medium sized trawlers in the British Columbia fishery. It has been in use since 1988 and has been particularly effective in the hake fishery where high production is essential. Through use of the Dynamit computer modelling software improvements have been made to the design and 4-bridle versions have been developed.
