Silverline Products
CONNECTORS The Silverline connector is specially designed for the fishing industry and has a high breaking strength and a good resistance to wear and tear. The connectors are produced by Fraserburgh Engineering according to the British Standard EN818. The company has the BureauVeritas acceptance on the production. Each connector is tested up to 2.5 times the SWL. The Silverline product range is also suitable for lifting. Silverline products are made from high quality forged steel with each component ultrasonically tested. The connectors are constructed with extra heavy duty sections---but in such a way as to allow easy fit into chain links or Silveline Terminal Ends without any grinding. We generally keep 10mm - 22mm in stock. 7mm, 26mm, and 32mm are available by special order. ![]() Silverline Connector Specs.pdfTERMINAL ENDS The Silverline Terminal End is a simple and safe way to make a connection to steel wire or combination wire. It is easy to clamp on a new or old wire making it much easier to salvage old warp wire for bridles. In the case of sweeps Terminal Ends will make sure you get the full life out of the wire as they are considerably tougher than eyes made from wire rope. They are designed to couple with Silverline connectors. Silverline Terminal Ends size range for wire diameters is from 12mm up to 40mm. For combination wire the range is from 12mm up to 60mm diameter depending on the construction of rope (quantity of steel in the rope). Cantrawl generally keeps 22mm (7/8), 20mm (3/4), and 16mm (5/8) in stock. Other sizes are available by special order. Cantrawl can provide clamping services for the 22mm, 20mm, 16mm, and 13mm in house. It is much quicker to assemble the chain with Grabloc than connector. This is particularly useful for quickly shortening or adjusting a single length of chain by connecting two links within the stretch. We have 16mm (5/8), 13mm (1/2), 10mm (3/8) in stock They do not seize because there is always slight movement to keep them free.
